The Newfoundland Growlers continue their seven-game homestand with a pair of midweek games for an All-Canadian matchup against the Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators. The two teams have squared off seven times this season with the Growlers sporting a 5-2 record.

Matthew Gaudreau led the way with a three-point night as the Worcester Railers defeated the Newfoundland Growlers 5-1 Saturday night at Mile One Centre to split the two-game series. Marcus Power had the only Newfoundland tally in a chippy game that saw a combined four misconducts and 68 penalty minutes. Michael Garteig made 20 saves.

Michael Garteig made 25 saves in the win. Etienne Marcoux was chased after 40 minutes after allowing seven goals on 32 shots.
