Game Story
The Newfoundland Growlers bounced back after a Saturday evening loss to the Brampton Beast by throwing over 40 shots at Beast goaltender Jake Paterson in an eventual 3-1 victory Sunday afternoon at the CAA Centre.
Daniel Ciampini opened the scoring once again for the Beast, just 3:35 into the first period.
The Growlers would not respond until the 17:30 marker of the second frame when Todd Skirving beat Patterson to the blocker side in the slot to the tie the game.
Despite going 0-8 on the powerplay, the Growlers added the go-ahead goal at 2:32 into the third period when Giorgio Estephan netted his sixth goal of the season after battling for a loose puck to the side of Paterson.
Brady Ferguson would add the empty netter to out the Beast away late in the third.
