ST. JOHN’S, NEWFOUNDLAND —The Newfoundland Growlers have signed goaltender Zachary Bouthillier to a standard ECHL contract.
Bouthillier, 19 a Chambly, Quebec native appeared in 40 games this season with the Saint John Seadogs and Chicoutimi Sagueneens of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he recorded a total of 12 wins and 22 losses while posting a 4.10 GAA and .885 save percentage.
In total, he appeared in 98 games in the QMJHL over three seasons for an overall record of 36 wins and 47 losses with a 3.63 GAA, .889 Save Percentage and 1 career shutout.
Zachary Bouthillier was drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, 209th overall.
