Newfoundland Growlers (14-6-1-0, 29 PTS) vs. Brampton Beast (9-7-2-1, 21 PTS)

The Newfoundland Growlers kick off their December homestand with a pair of games in an All-Canadian matchup against the Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators. The Growlers and Beast are split 1-1 in matchups this season.

Saturday night is Edward Jones Special Event Night, featuring performances from Beauwater and Spirit of Newfoundland Productions with giveaways all game long. Sunday is the highly-anticipated Nickelodeon Paw Patrol game. The Growlers will wear special Paw Patrol themed jerseys which fans can win post-game.

LAST GAME

The Newfoundland Growlers suffered their first overtime defeat last Saturday night against the Orlando Solar Bears in a high scoring 6-5 game. Chris LeBlanc netted the overtime winner for his second of the night for Orlando. Curt Gogol also had a pair of goals for the home team. Giorgio Estephan, Brady Ferguson, Marcus Power, Scott Pooley and Hudson Elynuik tallied for Newfoundland. Michael Garteig turned aside 32 shots.

Giorgio Estephan netted the game-winner at 2:32 of the third period as the Newfoundland Growlers tamed the Brampton Beast 3-1 at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario. Todd Skirving scored his first as a Growler and Brady Ferguson hit the empty net to pick up the other Newfoundland goals. Daniel Ciampini had the lone Beast tally. Michael Garteig turned aside 23 shots in the victory and Beast goalie Jake Paterson was busy all afternoon making 38 saves
