The Newfoundland Growlers look to push the Florida Everblades to the brink of elimination during a Labour Day weekend homestand. The Growlers took games one and two in Florida before Florida came out on top of a close matchup on Wednesday night at Mile One Centre.

Game three saw a spirited tilt of back and forth action. After the first period, down 3-1, the Newfoundland Growlers clawed back and tied it 4-4 only to see their lead dismissed by a Florida rebound goal late in the third period. Newfoundland got contributions from multiple players with Scott Pooley adding two goals to the playoff effort, to coincide with a two-point effort from Brady Ferguson.
