ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced today that defensemen Trent Bourque and Tristan Pomerleau have been recalled to their AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.
Bourque, a 23-year-old Burlington, Ontario native, has recorded a goal and three assists for four points in 15 games played in a Growlers uniform this season.
He spent the entirety of the 2020-21 season in the American Hockey League with the Manitoba Moose, recording one goal and three assists in 19 games played. One season earlier, Bourque made his first appearance as a member of the Growlers, recording four assists in nine games during the 2019-20 ECHL campaign.
Pomerleau, 25, has one goal and eight assists for nine points in 19 games played as a Growler this season. The Riviėre-du-Loup, Quebec native made his AHL debut last season, joining the Laval Rocket for one game following the completion of his USports season with the University of New Brunswick in 2020-21.
Neither Bourque, nor Pomerleau has appeared in an AHL contest yet this season.
