MOOSE ASSIGN TRISTAN POMERLEAU AND ISAAC JOHNSON TO THE GROWLERS

MOOSE ASSIGN TRISTAN POMERLEAU AND ISAAC JOHNSON TO THE GROWLERS

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced today that forward Isaac Johnson and defenseman Tristan Pomerleau have been reassigned to the Growlers by the AHL’s Manitoba Moose.

In 18 games as a Growler this season, Johnson is tied for eighth on the team in points with six goals and three assists for nine points. The Andover, Minnesota native was recalled by the Moose on Dec. 14, 2021 and made his season debut with the Moose on December 16 against the Chicago Wolves. In seven games with the Moose, Johnson collected a goal and an assist for two points. Both points came in a breakout performance against the Texas Stars on January 8, 2022.

Pomerleau, like Johnson, is also tied for eighth among all Growlers in points this season with nine (1G, 8A). The Riviėre-du-Loup, Quebec native was recalled by the Moose on Jan. 6, 2022 and appeared in one contest. 

The Growlers return to action on Friday, January 21 as they head to the state of Missouri for the first time ever to take on the Kansas City Mavericks.
