GROWLERS SIGN TYLER WELSH TO SPC

GROWLERS SIGN TYLER WELSH TO SPC

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced today that the club has signed forward Tyler Welsh to a Standard Player Contract (SPC).

Welsh, 25, has appeared in 27 games for Long Island University in NCAA action this season, amassing 25 points (7G, 18A) along the way. The Whistler, BC native previously played three years at Yale University before joining Long Island for the 201-22 campaign.

Prior to starting his collegiate career, Welsh played three years in the BCHL with the Victoria Grizzlies, picking up 93 points in 107 games at the level.
