ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, are proud to announce that forward Todd Skirving has been named the Inglasco ECHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 13, 2022.
Skirving, 30, led the ECHL with seven points last week, including two goals and five assists in helping lift the Growlers to a three-game weekend sweep of the Norfolk Admirals.
On Friday, the Thunder Bay, Ontario native set a new professional career high with four points, including a goal and three assists. He followed up that stellar performance with the game-winning goal on Saturday night before adding two more assists on Sunday afternoon to cap off his incredible weekend.
To date, Skirving has amassed four goals and five assists for nine points in his ten games played.
Skirving is the second Growler this season to win ECHL Player of the Week honours with Isaac Johnson also earning the honour back in October.
On behalf of Skirving, a case of pucks will be donated to a Newfoundland youth hockey organization by Inglasco, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Inglasco has donated more than 47,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
The Growlers return to action on Wednesday, November 16 as they host the Maine Mariners for a three-game series at the Mary Brown’s Centre. Tickets are available now at nlgrowlers.com/tickets.
