The Newfoundland Growlers dropped their second in as many days to the Worcester Railers in a 4-1 loss on Sunday evening at DCU Center.
Luke Cavallin made nine stops through 20 minutes of play while Henrik Tikkanen turned away all 14 shots he faced in the Railers crease in the opening period to keep things at 0-0 after the first period.
Nolan Walker opened the scoring a minute into the middle frame with a tidy backhand deke to make it 1-0 Newfoundland.
Jimmy Vesey tied the game with five minutes left in the second period on a breakaway to level things at 1-1 after two.
Anthony Repaci gave Worcester their first lead of the game two minutes into the third period as he banged home a loose puck in the crease to put the Railers up 2-1.
Collin Adams provided insurance for Worcester on the man advantage with just over three minutes to go before Brent Beaudoin found the empty net before time expired as they secured a 4-1 win.
- Pavel Gogolev extended his point streak to 11 games with an assist.
