Walker Assigned To Growlers

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced today that forward Nolan Walker has been assigned to the club by the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Walker, 24, did not appear in game action for the Marlies during his recent recall. In 23 games played with the Growlers this season, the former St. Cloud State star has collected 10 points (5G, 5A).

The Anchorage, Alaska native has been a mainstay in the Newfoundland lineup, scoring the overtime winner in a 4-3 victory over the Iowa Heartlanders back on December 10.

Newfoundland take on the Worcester Railers on Sunday afternoon in their last action before the holiday break.
