Orrin Centazzo Assigned To Growlers

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced today that forward Orrin Centazzo has been assigned to the club by the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Centazzo, a 22-year-old Marwayne, Alberta native, has played 17 regular season contests with the Growlers this season and scored 13 goals and added 14 assists for 27 points, his 1.59 points per game is third best in the ECHL this season. During his time with the Marlies, he also featured in five games at the AHL level.

As a rookie, Centazzo nabbed 51 points in 51 appearances for Newfoundland last season, good for third on the team in that department, before adding another 15 points in the postseason and playing a key role in the Growlers run to the Eastern Conference Final.

Prior to turning pro, Centazzo played five cumulative years in the WHL with the Everett Silvertips and Kamloops Blazers, having his best statistical campaign in 2019-20 where he notched 81 points (44G, 37A) for the Blazers.

Newfoundland return to the Mary Brown’s Centre this weekend to host the Trois-Rivieres Lions for a three-game set beginning on Friday night. Tickets are available now at nlgrowlers.com/tickets.
