OFFICIAL GAME SHEETGame Story
The Newfoundland Growlers evened up the Eastern Conference Final with a 2-1 Game Four overtime win over the Florida Everblades on Thursday night at the Mary Brown’s Centre.
Both goalies stood tall in the opening frame as Florida outshot Newfoundland 9-8 through 20 minutes but it remained 0-0 after the first.
Joe Pendenza got the game’s first goal three minutes into the second period as he finished off a 2-on-1 rush to make it 1-0 Everblades.
Todd Skirving tied things up with five minutes to go in the middle frame as he cleaned up a broken play in the blue paint to make it 1-1 heading into the third period.
