Growlers Re-Sign Jordan Escott

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, are proud to announce that St. John’s native Jordan Escott has signed a Standard Player Contract (SPC) ahead of the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Escott, a 32-year-old, left-handed forward, featured in 16 games for the Growlers in 2022-23 where he collected four points (1G, 3A). He initially signed with the team during the back half of the 2021-22 campaign before making a couple of appearances for his hometown club against the Reading Royals.
Prior to joining the Growlers, Escott spent the past nine seasons in the Newfoundland senior hockey circuit and established himself as one of the top amateur players in the province, lifting a Herder championship as a member of the Eastlink Cee Bee Stars back in 2012-13.
He also played three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Prince Edward Island Rocket from 2008 to 2011, appearing in 116 games, collecting 20 goals and 31 assists for 51 points.
Escott finished his junior hockey career in the Maritime Junior A Hockey League (MJAHL) with the Amherst Ramblers in 2011-12.

The Newfoundland Growlers are the primary 'AA' affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies. Since 2018, 53 players have appeared in regular season games for both the AHL Marlies and ECHL Growlers. To date, five players have dressed for the Maple Leafs since first appearing with the Growlers: Timothy Liljegren, Kristians Rubins, Keith Petruzzelli, Bobby McMann and Mac Hollowell.
