Game Story

The Newfoundland Growlers fell 5-3 to the Indy Fuel on Friday night at Mary Brown’s Centre.

Zach Jordan opened the scoring for Indy 2:36 before the first intermission to give the Fuel a 1-0 lead thru 20 minutes.

D.J. King doubled the Fuel’s advantage midway through the second period with a point shot thru traffic before Tyler Weiss got the Growlers within one just before the end of the middle frame.

Jackson Berezowski made it a 2-2 game just 62 seconds into the third before Seamus Malone put Indy back on top four minutes later.

Isaac Johnson got the Growlers level once again with 3:54 left in regulation before Cameron Hillis found an answer for the Fuel just 42 seconds later.

Brett Bulmer hit an empty Newfoundland net with 47 seconds left to secure a 5-3 win for the Fuel.
