The Newfoundland Growlers return to the road with a mid-week matchup against the Maine Mariners following a successful six-game home stand which saw the club go 5-1. The Growlers and Mariners have met five times this season with the Growlers sporting a 4-1 record.

Scott Pooley led the way with a pair of goals as the Newfoundland Growlers ended their home stand on a high note, defeating the Adirondack Thunder 3-1. Matt Bradley also scored for the Growlers, extending his point streak to five games. Brad Barone turned aside 22 shots in the win.

Zach O’Brien and Marcus Power both had three-point nights as the Newfoundland Growlers sunk the Maine Mariners 5-4 at Mile One Centre. Matt Bradley scored the first penalty shot goal in franchise history, and Derian Plouffe chipped in with his second goal in as many nights to complete out the Growlers offense. Jason Salvaggio and Ty Ronning had multi-point nights for the Mariners. Brad Barone made 21 saves in the win, picking up his first win as a Growler.
