Growlers Sign defenceman Cory Dunn to ATO

ST. JOHN’S, NEWFOUNDLAND —The Newfoundland Growlers have signed the Trenton, Michigan native Cory Dunn to an amateur tryout contract.

The 5’-10”, 150-pound defencemen appeared in 116 games with Adrian College over the past 4 seasons where he recorded 23 goals and 105 assists for 128 points, along with 211 penalty minutes.

Dunn is a three-time AHCA All-American, repeating his 2017 first-team recognition after being named to the second team after his 2016 freshman season. An assistant team captain, Dunn was the Bulldogs' top playmaker with 27 assists, tied for second by Division III defensemen, among 30 points.

The Newfoundland Growlers continue their seven-game homestand tonight versus the Orlando Solar Bears. Puck drop is 7 p.m., tickets are on sale now at the Mile One Centre Box office, online at mileonecentre.com or by phone at 709-576-7657.
